The location, the 24 hour access and the marina team are
simply fantastic and it is a pleasure to manage our daily charters with such customer service level and smooth operations.

Since I moved my boat to the Marina in October 2008 I have had nothing to complain about, which must mean something.
The dock staff are willing and helpful and most speak some English. Whatever your needs they will do their best to provide the service.
The fuel dock is easily accessed in both the NE and SW monsoon seasons, which is a blessing if you a have a single engined boat.
For me having the golf buggy transport to and from the dock is a great service, having an 80+ year old mother who still loves to go boating, but cannot walk so much these days. We get picked up in the car park and dropped off at my berth. The same when we return to the dock.
The manager Derrick van Deventer is a very personable approachable sort of a guy and has some great fishing tales (if you can believe them).
The location of the Marina is literally on the doorstep of Phangna Bay and the view from the Marina looking North is spectacular.
Nothing more to say except keep up the good work guys

I have stayed at Ao Po twice aboard my boat, and have nothing but praise for the Manager, the staff and the Marina.
I have found Derrick van Deventer, to be not only approachable and friendly, but highly professional in his duties as manager. His staff are probably the best trained, and competent, marina staff I have encountered in 10 years of living on my boat, and cruising in SE Asia. The staff are not only proficient in their duties, but are courteous, and have demonstrated on a day to day basis commendable initiative in assisting me during my stays in the Marina. My most recent experience required I leave Phuket at short notice for personal reasons. The support of both Derrick, and his staff in looking after my boat in my absence, including e-mails reports on the weather and condition of the boat, has considerably eased what has been a stressful period for me.
I have no hesitation in recommending Ao Po Grand Marina as destination for cruising yachts in Phuket either for a short or long stay. |

Dear marina guests and website visitors,
I am happy to introduce to you the latest addition to our website: the On-line Guest Book. Our marina has been operational from October 2008. Since then we have welcomed many guests and hosted several parties and events.
If you ask me about the highlight of the year? Difficult to answer, perhaps the the opening party of Phang Nga Bay Regatta, where we had 60 yachts entering the marina in one afternoon, or perhaps any other working day in which I get to meet and help people who have come from all over the world and visit our marina.
A BIG thanks to all our guests. Your feedback has been very encouraging, we have learned from your suggestions and were happy with your positive comments. Please, continue letting us know what you think of our marina, our services, our website ....
with kind regards,
Derrick van Deventer Marina Manager Ao Po Grand Marina |
